Classifications of Bordeaux

Bordeaux wines have been famous for centuries, enjoyed, traded and collected around the world.

It all started in 1855 when Napoleon III, wanted to showcase the best wines of the region during the Expedition of Paris. They summoned brokers and negociants to rate the most notable producers of the Medoc and Sauternes. There's only one Chateau outside of the region, Chateau Haut-Brion, which was selling by name to London as early as 1520.

Classification of 1855

Classification of Sauternes 1955

Classification of Graves 1959

Classification of Saint-Emilion
