Domaine Roulot, Chardonnay, Clos de Boucheres- Monopole- Premier Cru, Meursault, Burgundy, France 2023

Jean Marc Roulot produces some of the most sought-after, collective and well-regarded Meursault. Clos de Bouchères, 1.38ha in size is a walled vineyard, solely owned by Roulot within Les Bouchères Premier Cru. Les Boucheres Premier Cru is in the northeast part of the village of Meursault, producing wines with purity and focus. 

Jasper Morris, MW, one of the most prolific wine writers and full-time resident of Burgundy, describes Clos de Bouchères as follows: "this is a wine that really makes you sit up and take notice." 

As one can imagine, quantities are minuscule, therefore striking a bottle of Roulot can be considered a feat.
