Feudi del Pisciotto, Frappato, Sicily, Italy 2024

Located in Val di Noto, an historic region in southern Sicily and an UNESCO World Heritage site for its Baroque Architecture. 

Feudi del Pisciotto is based in the commune of Niscemi, one of the communes for Cerasuolo di Vittoria, Sicily's sole DOCG based on Nero d'Avola. The vineyards are situated in a hilly area around the winery, which also houses a restaurant and a boutique hotel. 

Frappato, native to Sicily's, producing light bodied, cherry scented red wines with soft tannins. Despite Sicily's hot climate, Frappato retains freshness and balance. One of those wines that you can enjoy on its own, or with a light tomato based pasta dish or simple grilled meats. 

The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel in an effort to preserve fruitiness and freshness and aged in the bottle for a couple of months before release.
