Family owned and operated, Grgich Hills is one of Napa Valley's historic wineries. Founded in 1977 by Miljenko Grgich, known as "Mike" and Austin Hills. Grgich was the winemaker of Chateau Montelena, and the one to craft the 1973 Chardonnay that won in the Judgment of Paris in 1976, ahead of some of the most notable Burgundy wines.
