Kilkerran Bourbon Cask Matured Single Malt 8 Year

Was originally established in 1872/1873 by William Mithcel who previously co-owned Springbank with his brother John. Subsequently the distillery changed hands and the distillery closed in 1925. Hedley Wright of Springbank purchased the distillery and reopened it in 2004, the first distillery to open in Campbeltown in 125 years, testament to their dedication to maintain Campbeltown’s stature in the market. Whisky from Glengyle is marketed as Kilkerran since the Glengyle name is registered for a blended malt. Family-owned distillery. 

Kilkerran uses slow fermentation, as long as 100-110 hours with low distillation rate.
